While you are always welcome at all PFLAG meetings and will be supported regardless of whether you are a member, becoming a member helps PFLAG continue its great work through your contribution of membership dues.
Family membership dues of $45.00/year are divided between —
- PFLAG’s national office. Your dollars support critical advocacy work at the sate and national level, educating the public and fighting for LGBTQ+ affirming legislation. They allow for publication of supportive materials, access to critical resources, an on-line university, the conduct of public forums and conferences and the support of over 400 chapters nationwide.
- Your local chapter. Your dues provide meeting space and resources, cover admistrative expenses and fund local initiatives to educate, advocate and celebrate in your community.
- The PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois. Your contribution helps coordinate the activities of the chapters, providing administrative support to each and funding shared initiatives. Its Open Doors publication keeps members informed of important information in the areas of legislation, education, the arts and beyond. The Council maintains liaison with supportive local organizations and strives to educate, celebrate and advocate for our local LGBTQ+ community.
