You can contact all chapters and the PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois via the helpline or e-mail:

You can inquire about locations, share concerns, or request PFLAG information.  Parents call us.  Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals call us.  Social workers, employee representatives, interested teachers, or concerned friends or family members call us.  Our volunteers work hard to provide you with information and assistance.  However, we are not a crisis line and do not have trained, professional counselors available.

Your phone message or e-mail will be relayed to a PFLAG volunteer who will make every effort to return your call or e-mail within 48 hours.   Please note:  If we are returning a call on a house or employment phone line, please let us know if we should say that we are from PFLAG when returning your call.  We will only leave a message saying that we are from PFLAG if you give us permission to do so.  We certainly want to be as discrete as possible when responding to your call.

If you are looking for support, we will talk with  you about your situation and explain what PFLAG does and how we can help.  Our volunteers often share their stories and experiences to help you feel less alone.  We can also send you pamphlets, booklets, and other materials to read.
