Why Your Donations are Important 

PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois, like most not-for-profit organizations, depends upon gifts from generous supporters and members to maintain and expand its mission. Join the many who have contributed to support this important work.  PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois uses PayPal to process on line donations using credit cards. 

Your donations and membership are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law since PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois is a tax-exempt organization with an IRS section 501(c)(3) tax status (see below for detailed information).

Additional information regarding IRS tax deduction qualification:

  • General Donation – 100% tax deductible
  • Individual Membership ($35.00) - Not tax deductable
  • Household Membership ($45.00) – $10 is tax deductable
  • Supporting Membership ($60.00) – $25.00 is tax deductable
  • Parents Flag Waver ($100.00) – $65.00 is tax deductable
  • PFLAG Hero ($250.00) – $215.00 is tax deductable

Membership helps cover the costs of the Open Doors newsletter expenses, the PFLAG National PFLAG Pole newsletter expenses, chapter brochures, chapter insurance, educational booklets, helpline expenses, mission based programs and other operational costs.
